Ceramic fuses, rewireable fuse carriers, no safety switches, repeated tripping, or a board with no room to add a circuit are all clear signs. So is a board that has never been labelled.
How long does an upgrade take?
A typical domestic board is a day, with the power off for part of it. We confirm the outage window before the day so you can plan around it.
Do I need safety switches by law?
Requirements depend on when the installation was wired and what work is being done, but any circuit we alter is brought up to current standards, and we recommend RCD protection across all final subcircuits.
