That means safety and compliance testing in every unit and every common area — emergency and exit lighting, safety switches, appliance testing and switchboard inspection — carried out respectfully in occupied homes, with around-the-clock response when something fails.

Residential towers are the hardest environment to maintain well. Access has to be negotiated resident by resident, disruption is immediately visible, and work cannot run over. The schedule exists so that none of that becomes the building manager’s problem.
